Youth Music Action Zones

Introduction

Norfolk YMAZ

Youth Music Action Zones were set up in 1999 around the UK to provide music-making activities to 0-18 year olds who might otherwise lack opportunity. CME runs the Action Zone for Norfolk.

Norfolk YMAZ objectives:

  • To enhance skills, wellbeing and personal development
  • To increase confidence and self-esteem
  • To improve team work and communication skills
  • To raise motivation, aspirations and support engagement with further learning
  • To engage hard to reach learners

CME works with partners and organisations to deliver bespoke courses and activities, which are match funded by Youth Music. Contact us to discuss your project ideas or get a quote.

We offer:

  • A guaranteed quality of delivery by trained and supported specialist tutors
  • Joint project development with partner agency to ensure the activity is appropriate and inclusive
  • A complete package - workshops led by two experienced tutors, travel, specialist equipment and support materials, planning and evaluation meetings, opportunity for participants to take part in showcases, and membership of Partner Network
  • Assistance with accessing match funding
  • Accredited courses - OCN for 16 - 19 year olds and Arts Awards for 11 - 19 year olds
